Just wanted to say hello and just check in ... looks like a good place to start. I'm Michelle, 22 years old. Been a Christian for about 7 years and has loved cars for about 15 years or as far as I can remember. My first car was in fact a KIA spectra, but God decided to upgrade me to a 2003 Honda Accord. This has been my baby for about a two years now. My story on how I got this car is very interesting, atleast I believe that.
See when I was born, I was born with a dislocated hip. I've been having surgeries on my hip since I was three. God built me to be a tough cookie and always made the best out of any situation. Although I was limited to what I could do physically I would still push myself to the next step. By highschool I was doing good, not perfect, but good and I wanted a car so I did what my dad told me to do... work for it lol. I was a waitress, working two jobs plus going to school and by senior year I got myself a nice 2006 KIA, sure it wasn't my dream car but it my car. After graduation I stayed working, but that summer my hip problem turned for the worst. I had ran my hip down so bad with two jobs and school that it gave out in 2007. Doctors were telling me that it was time for my 7th surgery, a total hip replacement and that I could no longer work. I had to quit my job, lost my car, couldn't pay bills, didn't have the luxury to have spending money or any money at that point, everything just went down hill. I didn't expect for all that to happen, but it did and all I could do was trust in God.
I look back now and I see that God had to take away everything to show me I have nothing without him. My faith and trust in God grew stronger and through that He was starting to open doors for me. I started to recieve money from the government and decided to go back to school. My mom would lend me her car time to time but one day she drove up to the house in a new SUV and gave me her old car which was the car I loved since she drove it off the lot back in '02, yup, the Accord.
I believe that Father has a plan for all of us that most of the time it won't match our own, but we got to put aside all the questions and doubt and just trust in Him. Whether it's a job, a relationship, or even a car, just trust in Him and everything will work out
Thank you for reading,
Michelle aka La Mabelle
