As far back as I can remember, I've believed in God. My mom dedicated me to Him at birth and I've never doubted in his existence. That's not to say that I've never doubted his wisdom, his purpose, his purity, but as I live on, his greatness is revealed to me on an ever increasing level. I see now that this life is a trial for the next, and though I may have had to deal with my sister abusing drugs, trying to commit suicide, trying to hurt us when backed into a corner, my brother being sent to jail several times, the financial and relational trials of my parents, loss of friends, loss of family, and many other hardships that have happened to me that I might not have minded not happening, I see now that these were trials by God that have allowed me to grow into who I am now. I was baptised at the age of 14. This is when I truly realized what it meant, and chose it for myself.
