Testimony
I was saved at a FCA event in middle school. I attended church with friends but soon strayed from them, to hang with the "popular" crowd. In High School, I had a boyfriend who I soon found out was into drugs and I started assuming that lifestyle also. At the age of about 18-19 I became addicted to crystal meth and marijuana. I left my parents home to live with my druggie friends. While I was out on my own with these friends of mine, I starting seeing this lifestyle for what it was. Slowly everything was being taken from me: my family, friends died, people getting shot at over drugs and drama, friends going to jail or prison. Eventually I knew I could no longer be a part of this or that is where i would end up too. The hardest thing I ever did was ask my parents if I could come back home and they agreed. They still loved me. I kicked the drugs but kept some of the same friends hoping I might could save them too, from their addictions. I have been clean for 3+ years now. And until about the spring of 2007 I still hung with a couple of people out of that crowd. I knew I had to take a few more big steps to finally change my life, the first being letting all my old friends go. While in the process of letting them go, moving back in with my parents, I met Brian. I had been praying for a few months for strength to leave all my old friends and that life, and for GOD to show me the way to LIFE, my christian life that I had missed so badly. That is how I got to where I am now. I now have a great job, great friends, a wonderful relationship with my family, and the greatest Husband. I have been clean for years, and I know I could have never overcome all that without GOD in my life. Everything has fallen into place.
