Testimony

I would like to Thank my God above for giving me the life that I now live. I do not live this life as others may see it, for the life I live, I live because Jesus lives within me. I saw atop the writing block that this was the place to put your testimony. If it is, then grab a glass of soda and a bag of chips or something cause this is going to take a while.
When I was 8 months old, I was in a car crash. The front half of my head was smashed in, my nose was crushed, and the roof of my mouth was split from just behind my front teeth to the back of my throat. (I don't remember any of it cause I was so young but I can only imagine it happening now!??!!!) Anyways, they rushed me to Pitt Memorial Hospital where they did emergency surgery on me. When they looked at me in the beginning, they told my family that it would not be worth the hassle of trying to put me back together, that I would not make it, and if I did make it, that I would be a complete vegetable (I think they call it QUADRAPLEGIC.....I think I spelled it right). Anyways, my grandmother told them to do what they could and she would talk to someone that could take care of the rest. I have to interject here. I find it amazing how man can say that there is nothing they can do for a person in that shape. I remember what a Man of God told me one time. He said that when men come to a stop, God is just getting started and that was just the situation here. You see, the doctors did not know what my grandmother was talking about. When they were operating on me in the OR, God was doing a little bit of operatiing too. While they were operating on me, my grandmother was praying to GOD that if he would give me my right mind, she would make sure that I grew up to know about Him. The doctors said that I would never walk but 7 days after being released from the hospital, I was walking across the living room floor. The doctors siad that I would not be able to think for my self. I graduate in May of this year with a MASTERS DEGREE in COMPUTER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY from the university that trained the doctor that told my family that I would not be able to do all of this. At this, my mind goes to a scripture in II Corinthians 4:8,9,10 "WE ARE TROUBLED ON EVERY SIDE, YET NOT DISTRESSED; WE ARE PERPLEXED, BUT NOT IN DESPAIR; PERSECUTED, BUT NOT FORSAKEN; CAST DOWN, BUT NOT DESTROYED; ALWAYS BEARING ABOUT IN THE BODY THE DYING OF THE LORD JESUS, THAT THE LIFE ALSO OF JESUS MIGHT BE MADE MANIFEST IN OUR BODY.

For all of you out there that think life is not good, look back at this testimony and rethink it. Life is good because God gives it. GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
