I have been around the christian faith all of my life. My mother has been a christian for as long as I have known her. She always brought me to church when I was a kid. I found it boring and never really grasped what it was that I was doing there. As I grew up I found ways to avoid going to church with her. I always had something to do that I thought was better. As the years passed I strayed away from God. Just a few months I was invited to a church that my sister goes to. It is called Journey Church. I found it really interesting and I was able to pay attention. As I listed to what the pastor had to say, it finally started to sink in. One sunday in particular, we started to sing a really common song heard in churches, Amazing Grace. How sweet the sound. My eyes welled up with tears and I felt like I belonged. That day after the service I talked with the pastor and told him that the service had really touched me. I prayed with him and asked Jesus and the Lord into my life. This all happened just a week ago. I use to know that Jesus died on the cross for me, now I BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross for me.
