Like the story about the donkey, somethimes God needs to smack us upside the head to get our attention before we hear His word.
Three years ago I was self-centered and concerned about how much money I made and my standing within the company I worked for. I gave in to temptation and ended up losing my job. I had to completely humble myself and ask friends and family for support, emotionally and financially. At about the same time, my father fell ill and passed away. I felt lost and wasn't sure what to do next. I found a new family in the church and have left the part of me the devil poisoned behind. "The man I am hates the man I was."
Now making money is much further down the list. I'm more concerned with living and sharing the faith. I have been reborn in Jesus and have become much bolder in proclaiming my faith.
