Throughout my entire life I came to church. Ever since i was a young boy I used to visit my Grandparents in Orange every weekend to go to church, but to be perfectly honest i didnt know what church was. To me church was a family get together and nothing more. As I grew older and my grandparents moved away, we stopped going to church. for about 5 years of my life there was no Jesus at all. And yet i still believed i was saved because i used to go to church. It wasnt until my sophomore year in highschool and the passing of my grandfather that I truly broke down. He was my only grandfather i had ever known. We were so close it felt like i lost a best friend. Luckily I had my addictions and friends to fall back on. One day however, my best friend invited me to go to his church retreat. I went just to hangout with him but what i left with was a gift i never forgot. I left from that retreat an undeserving sinner with Jesus in my heart finally. The messages hit home each day of the retreat. I knew this relationship was worth it. Eventually, i kept going back to bible studies and learned more about this gift Christ graciously gave me. I eventually got plugged in to that church and i continue to this day to grow faithfully in my walk with Christ through that body of believers. Praise be to God.
