Testimony

I grew up in a christian home. I gave my life to Christ when I was extremely young. I had a close family and we went to church every Sunday. Went to Christian high school from 7th -12th grade. When I graduated, things went a little off track. My father died, leaving me void of the male figure in my life and when I began to struggle with different issues, my christian "friends" were no where to be found. The people who actually seemed to care were the people doing the wrong things. Drinking, smoking, drugs... all that. I got into the drinking, but kept myself clear of the smoking and drugs. I joined the military in 2002. For the first few years, I was on my own and did what i wanted to do. I didn't go to church, and I didn't pray. Life became miserable. I started hanging out with a girl that wanted to go to church. Trying to score points, I went back to church. After one service, I was hooked. I may have gone for the wrong reason, but God showed me what I was missing in my life... HIM! Since then, I have been going to church every Sunday, and am trying to clean my life up. I have met a beautiful girl at church that I am going to be marrying in a few months. My job is going decent. God is blessing me daily, and I thank Him for that. I have a long road ahead of me, but with His help, I know I can survive it.
