porscheguy986's 1997 Porsche Boxster

I was saved when I was 6 years old at the church where my grandfather was the pastor. I spent most of my life growing up in the church living as God commands us to. Around 19 years old is when I started to go down hill. I really started to get into street racing and girls. I would be out racing atleast 4 nights a week. I went all up and down the east coast racing, spent a lot of the time running from cops and getting into fights. I got into fights either because of a race or because of hitting on someone elses girlfriend. I spent time only thinking about myself and what i wanted. As time went on things only got worse. A couple months after my birthday my dad took his life. I completely stopped caring after that happened and my habits just got even worse. I now was not only into racing and girls but also into pornography. I started to get into trouble with friends and family and eventually the law. I ended up getting arrested and spending 40 days in jail. Fortunately going to jail was the best thing that could have happened to. At the rate I was going I was going to either end up dead or in a lot more trouble than I got in. During the time that I spent in jail I realized that I needed to turn my life back over to God and let him take control of my life once again. So as cliche as it sounds I rediscovered God while I was in jail. This was almost 2 years ago and I have spend every day since trying to improve my life and make sure that my words and actions are ones that reflect Gods love and presence in my life. I found that God lets us make the mistakes we do and have the consequences that follow so that we realize how weak we really are and how much we need Him. The Bible says that if we stray from him he will strike us down and bring us back to Him. I have seen that and remind myself of that everyday. I spend every overjoyed that God is so patient and always willing to forgive because without him I would still be in a very bad place in my life, instead I have a job I love, a family who loves and supports me no matter what, and I have a God who will never turn his back on me and will always love me and keep me strong.
