Testimony

I've grown up in a christian home all of my life. My father was one of the greatest men of faith I knew and my mother has that same strength. When i was 8 years old my dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor and for the next 6 years he suffered through multiple surgeries. Even through all that he kept his faith and kept teaching me through his sickness about the joys of Jesus Christ and what he can do for your life. My 6th grade year my nearby high school was shot up by Kip Kinkle whos sister was a friend of my oler sisters. The thurston high school shooting was hard because I had one sister in high school and a cousin. Then when I was about 13 my grandmother died due to alzheimers. The next year was a great struggle for me and my mother as my two sisters moved out one left due to marriage and the other moved to L.A. to go to school. So me and my mom had to work extra hard to help my dad. Then in the summer of 2000 my father passed away. My 9th grade year I backslide alot. I smoked weed. Then the second time I got high I was trippin so bad that as I was walking home I broke down and cryed out to the Lord. It was hard growing up in the springfield/eugene area because the city is big into weed and meth. The next couple of years I was doing great as far as my relationship with Jesus. Then my sophmore year of high school my uncle died of a hard attack. Then my junior year of high school one of my closest cousins died at the age of 18 by falling asleep at the wheel. The rest of the year I went to alot of parties and fell into the temptations of the ladies. Most of my friends were either drinking or smokin weed at the time.My senior year I had a friend who got into coocaine and I would try to help him but he just kept getting in trouble with the law. Then after spending a month in jail he got out and talked me into dealin drugs. My main reason was for the mad cash. But after one bag I quiet and he got caught with drugs and slapped with 7 felonies. The rest of the year I really struggled with panic attacks and it reastricted me alot. Now I am doing alot better and getting back into the word and no longer go to parties. A couple of my homies still deal but I don't encourage them to. Lots of my friends still drink and smoke weed but I personally just stay away from that now. I thank God for helping me through the trauma in my life. Now I really want to get into the ministries of skateboarding and christian music(specifically I love writtin rhymes). Then I saw this web site on Holy Hip-Hop and thought this was a great way to preach the gospel to people. I love my car and I also have a truck that was my dads that I hope to restore. It is a 1964 Ford F-250 custom cab. I also am always on the lookout for a 1962 Chevy Impala because my father wanted this as his first car but could not find one at the time so iI want to get one to dedicate to him and have his name into the seats or something. Remember keep God first in all you do!
