I have been saved since December 31 1998! I was raised in a catholic home. I went to church for along as I can remember. Well at age of 16 the Lord started to do a work in my life. I stopped hanging out with a crowd of people that were up to no good. I started to see life different, but still did not know the true and living Lord. Time passed and about this time in my life at the age of 21, I really was sick and tired of all the junk this world had to offer. Around this time I met my wife and boy did life change all to quick. I also remember the empty void in my life, I tried to go the catholic church I was raised, but for some strange reason I new that was not right. I saw many people claim to love "God" but their life was all the same. Cursing, back stabbing, getting drunk,.......and so on.Well in the early months of 1998 I had Jehova witnesses, mormons, sevenday adventist, and my neighbor next door all at diiferent times of the week talk to me about their god and how we needed him. But the True and living God had other plans for me. Out of no where I started to listen to a radio station in Southern California KKLA 99.5 and KWAVE 107.9 and at first a realy thought these preachers just wanted your money and wanted to reap you of. But It was not even that. After carefully lisetning to some Pastors John MacArthur,Greg Laori Skip, Chuck Smith, Vernon McGee, the Bible Answer man. I was hooked. It took me about 8 months to fully grasp that Salvation is free!!!! John 3:16. Not by what you do is what He did for you.
